We are an interdisciplinary design consultancy dedicated to the creation of inspirational architecture, urban spaces and interiors. The studio is collaborative, innovative, informed and aspirational. We work at all scales, from bespoke privates homes, to commercial developments; urban renewals to masterplans.

Our Ethos

We believe good design is inherent to the betterment of people’s lives and the society in which we live in. We as architects have the responsibility to sustain the cultural, social and economic values of our environment through the merits of design. With that in mind, our aim is to contribute and improve people’s lives by reimagining the places in which we live and work, for a better future.

Founder

Yat Hoi Desmond Hung studied architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture and University of Westminster in London. He is a UK chartered architect and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. Prior to founding Y’ATELIER in 2021 he worked with different practices across the UK, Middle East and Asia on numerous award winning projects. In addition to design work, Desmond Hung has been a guest critic at a number of leading academic institutions and served as a visiting lecturer at the Hong Kong Design Institute.
